Easy Gender Reveal party Decor

So, this party was a gender reveal party and we did not want to overdo the decor. But, wanted something that can be put up in 10 minutes.


Shopping time:

Shopping : 20 minutes
1. Paper tissue
2. balloons
3. String
4. Chalk board
5 Carton box
6. wrapping paper
I found all these at Micheal's at a very reasonable price after discounts and coupons

Preparation Time:

Pom pom's 1 hour
Balloons 30 minutes to inflate them
draw on chalk board  5 minutes
Put everything together 15 minutes

It was perfect for the occasion and gave us enough background for the occasion. 
Everyone absolutely loved the decor.

Paper Bag Making

                             On worlds environment day, students are asked to make paper bags. Sanjana won 3rd place in the competition. Here is the process that she followed to make a paper bag.

Materials required to make a paper bag are as follows.
  • A thick paper/ Chart
  • A pair of scissors
  • Fevicol or Glue
  • Decorative material (of your choice)




  1.  Fold the paper as shown below. This is for handles to be strong.

 2.  Now fold from both the sides to the middle as shown.                                                                                                                                  



 3. Stick in the middle with Glue.



4. Now, fold the of the bottom of the paper as shown below.


 5. Apply Glue on the pencil lines shown below.



 6. Fold it downwards.


7. Once you stick the bottom of the bag, fold the paper vertically as shown below.


 8. Turn towards the other side and turn the folding backwards.


 9. Now open the folding. Your bag should looks like this.




 10. For handles, you can use any old lace/ribbons or any thing of our choice.



 11. Now its time to decorate the bag. You can use color papers,stickers ribbons or any thing to make your bag look pretty. Here we used some color papers and stickers to make it look pretty.

Quelling Art

                                

Here is a quelling art made by Sanjana during summer holidays. Here is a picture of the final product. Lets see how to create this piece.



    Materials required to make this are
  •   Quelling paper 
  •   Quelling needle
  •   Old Compact Disk/CD.
  •   Glue/ gum to stick





          
                                      


















Stick them to a Compact disk in any certain design you want and once it is dry it can be hanged anywhere in the house.

Chickpeas snack


  1. Soak chickpeas overnight or for 6 hours or use canned chick peas
  2. Pressure cook the chick peas for 2 whistles  or drain water from the can of chick peas
  3. Drain water.
  4. Add oil and urad dal, mustard, red chilles, curry leaves.
  5. Grind coconut and green chillies together.
  6. Throw in chickpeas and coconut powder and fry it for couple of minutes and the snack is ready.
